Butterworth police say two men have been taken in for questioning in connection with the murder of 48-year-old Willowvale school principal, Herbert Mdla-dlamba.
He was shot dead during a robbery at a dam in Butterworth on the 15th of this month while in the company of a woman.
Mdla-dlamba, who was the principal at Mfamazi Junior Seconary School, was shot in the upper body and robbed of his cellphone and wallet.
Police spokesperson, Captain Jackson Manatha, says the two were taken into custody in Bhungeni Informal settlement in Butterworth at around 4 o'clock on Wednesday morning.
"Once we can linked them we will charge them with the murder. They will then appear in court very soon" he said.
