East London cyclist killed in Vincent

A cyclist, believed to be in his late 50's, was killed after being hit by a car in East London on Wednesday.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi, says the incident happened at around 6am in Western Avenue in Vincent.

He says the name of the victim has not yet been released.

Mbi says it seems that the man used his bicycle to commute 

He says when paramedics arrived they declared the man dead on the scene and they are investigating a case of culpable homicide. 

No arrests have been made
