Three men are due to appear in the Kirkwood Magistrate's Court on Wednesday in connection with the brutal murder of 62 year-old Addo farmer Allan Clarke.
The suspects were arrested at a filling station in Greenbushes, Port Elizabeth in the early hours of Monday morning after a member of the public tipped of a private security company about the men who had blood on their clothes and had been trying to change a flat tyre on Clarke's stolen bakkie.
The security official alerted police and in a joint operation they swooped on the men.
Further investigation led to the discovery of Clarke's body which had been dumped in bushes on the side of the N-2 near the Seaview off-ramp.
Mount Road Police's acting cluster commander, Brigadier Ronald Koll, said the swift arrests were the result of good cooperation between members of the security company and police.
