Port Elizabeth police have arrested four suspects in connection with the rape of a woman in her home in Bethelsdorp in July.
Police spokesperson, captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, says the suspects were arrested in Bethelsdorp extension 36 on Wednesday morning.
The arrests were carried out by Mount Road detectives, Tactical Response Team, Crime Intelligence and Police forensic detectives.
Janse van Rensburg says the suspects, aged between 17 and 21, face charges of rape, armed robbery and assault.
They allegedly broke into a house in the Bethelsdorp area on the 29th of July where they raped a woman several times. They also allegedly assaulted her husband and robbed them of several household items.
Janse van Rensburg adds that one of the suspects has been linked through forensic evidence to another armed robbery case.
