Six teenage suspects arrested for the murder of 17-year-old, Curtly Alexander, of Bethelsdorp, Port Elizabeth have indicated that they intend to apply for bail.
A 6th young suspect was arrested on Monday night after Alexander's body was found in the Hobie Beach parking lot early on Sunday morning.
He had sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest.
Three of the suspects, who are not minors, have been identified as Fergil Fillis, Shuaib Slabbert, and Faizel Davids, briefly appeared before the city's Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.
According to Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, the other three suspects, all minors, also appeared before the Nerina House Juvenile Court on Tuesday.
Naidu said they would also apply for bail.
The Prosecution at the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court indicated that they would oppose bail.
The case has been remanded until the 28th of December for the formal bail application.
