Police in Port Elizabeth have arrested four suspects following a robbery at a jewellery store at the Cleary Park shopping centre.
Police Captain Johan Rheeder says the suspects abducted a security guard and held him at gun point earlier on Friday morning.
Rheeder says shots were fired and one suspect was injured.
He says the robbers fled in a VW polo but police managed to arrest four of them and recover an undisclosed amount of jewellery.
Police are still searching for the driver of the polo who managed to evade arrest.
Rheerder says the suspects are being held in custody and are due to appear in court on Monday.
