Members of the Uitenhage K9 unit have made a sizeable dagga bust and arrested three suspects.
Uitenhage Police spokesperson Marianette Olivier says Warrant Officer Jacques Adlem and Constable Melisa Potgieter were patrolling in the Despatch area late on Wednesday afternoon.
The spotted a suspicious whiteTtoyota bakkie at Joe Slovo and managed to stop the vehicle near Azalea Park.
Three suspects fled the scene but were chased down and arrested by the police officers.
Olivier says 17 bags of dagga weighing 300 kilogrammes and with a street value of R600 000 were recovered.
The suspects are aged between 30 and 40 and will appear in the Uitenhage Magistrate court on Monday.
