Three of the four suspects accused of stealing the belongings of the 21 young tavern goers who died at the Enyobeni tavern in East London will remain in custody for now.
They made a brief appearance in the East London Magistrate's court on Tuesday.
The NPA's regional spokesperson, Luzuko Tyali, confirmed to AlgoaFM News that the bail hearing would now be heard next Monday the 1st of August.
The accused are between the ages of 16 and 21 and were arrested earlier this month following an investigation by police.
A fourth accused, who is a minor, was released into the custody of his parents.
The suspects were identified as 21-year-old Aphiwe Rawutini, 21-year-old Sinobomi Ntyintyi and 22-year-old Someleze Dyani.
The minor suspect may not be named and will not appear alongside his co-accused on Monday.
Several stolen items, positively identified by the victims' next of kin, were recovered in the home of the suspects.
Police recovered stolen shoes, weaves and clothing belonging to some of the teenagers who died under mysterious circumstances in the early hours of Sunday morning the 26th of July.
The tavern owner, whose name is known to Algoa FM News, was issued a summons to appear in the same court on the 19th of August.
He is being charged for contravening the Liquor Act by selling or supplying alcohol to children under the age of 18.
