Three people were wounded in a suspected gang-related shooting outside the Gelvandale Magistrate's Court on Thursday morning.
Pandemonium reportedly broke out when the wounded people fled into the court building.
One eye-witness, John Fruizenberg, told Algoa FM News that he was waiting outside the court building when shots rang out.
He says he ducked for cover with a shots zinging close by.
Meanwhile, police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg says no arrests have been made.
"It is not clear at this stage what happened and we will give more information at a later stage" she said
