Two suspects have appeared in court in the Southern Cape in separate drug-related cases.
The 45 year old Alfred Ndindwa and 36 year old Johannes Mokoena have been remanded in custody.
Ndindwa was arrested on Sunday afternoon near George when his vehicle was stopped and searched.
A false compartment was discovered with about 75 000 Mandrax tablets valued at approximately R3.8-million.
He made a brief appearance in the George Magistrate's Court on Wednesday and his matter was postponed to the 11th and 12th of January for a formal bail application.
Mokoena was arrested on Tuesday, following a sting operation by members of the HAWKS' Organized Crime and K9 Units, near Mossel Bay, along Louis Fourie Avenue, after he had disembarked from a bus travelling from Gauteng.
A search of his luggage uncovered about 10 000 concealed Mandrax tablets valued at approximately R500 000.
He has since appeared in the Mossel Bay Magistrate's Court and his matter was postponed to the 9th of January for a bail application.
