Kariega detectives are seeking the next of kin of a man who was electrocuted in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police spokesperso, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says police responded to a complaint in Algoa Road at the Swartkops Bridge of an electrocution.
She says on arrival at the scene, they found the body of the man who allegedly attempted to steal copper cables.
Janse van Rensburg says the members confiscated a hacksaw, knife, and a backpack.
The deceased, aged between 25 and 30, was dressed in blue pants and a dark blue jacket.
Anyone who can assist in identifying him is asked to contact the police in Kariega.
