A warrant of arrest has been issued for 47-year-old George William Cameron who poured petrol over an elderly lady before trying to rob her in Knysna last month.
Police Spokesperson Sergeant Chris Spies says it is alleged that Cameron lured a 69-year-old woman into a business transaction at Waterfront Drive on the 5th of May.
He says when the victim arrived, Cameron jumped into her vehicle and threatened her before pouring petrol over her.
Sergeant Spies says the woman managed to escape the ordeal and went looking for help.
He says Cameron fled the scene on foot and is believed to be in the Cape Town area.
