Police in Port Elizabeth are looking for a man who allegedly raped a teenager in Kabega Park on the 26th of January this year.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the 16-year-old was heading towards Humansdorp and a person who gave her a lift dropped her off on the N2/Kragga Kamma split.
She says the driver of a white bakkie saw the teenager getting out of the vehicle and according to the victim, offered her a lift.
He said he was going to Greenbushes to drop off a battery.
As they neared the spot where he promised to drop her off, he continued driving and parked the bakkie in the bushes where he allegedly raped her.
Colonel Naidu says the suspect left the girl on the side of the road and drove off.
The teenager flagged down a passing motorist who took her to the Kabega Park police station where she reported the alleged rape.
She identified the suspect as a white male in his mid-thirties with light brown eyes, a beard and brown/black hair.
He was wearing a dark blue faded pair of jeans and a black t-shirt.
Any person who recognises the man in the police identikit can contact Detective Sergeant Ntombokolo Makubalo on 071 352 4733
