A 35 year old man is due to appear in the Cradock Magistrate's court on Thursday on a charge of dealing in dagga
Warrant Officer Louis Stone says members of the Route Patrol, K9 and Visible Policing Unit arrested the man following a high speed chase on Wednesday.
The chase ended when the suspect crashed his Ford Bantam bakkie through a fence.
He then fled on foot into the residential area of Michausdal, but was arrested shortly afterwards.
Police searched the bakkie and recovered ten large bags of dagga - weighing around 300 kgs with an estimated street value of R300 000.
