Port Elizabeth police are investigating a case of armed robbery following a shootout at Big Daddy's liquor store in Struandale.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder says three suspects accosted two security guards at the building in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
He says other private security guards arrived at the scene, and a shoot out followed between the suspects and the guards.
Rheeder says a 36-year old suspect died in the crossfire.
He says two suspects are still at large.
