A 26-year-old man is expected to appear in court in Humansdorp on Wednesday in connection with the murder of an Emergency Medical Services employee.
Thirty-six-year-old EMS employee, Pietie Links, was attending to a private matter on Monday when he was stabbed, allegedly by the suspect.
Police said that Links was wounded in the neck and rushed to hospital where he later died.
The suspect faces a charge of murder.
Links, went to collect money owed to him at a house in the Storms River area, at Woodlands near Kareedouw on Monday
Police Spokesperson Majola Nkohli says a man believed to be related to the person who owed the deceased money, approached Links and stabbed him in the neck.
The driver of the ambulance rushed Links to the Woodlands clinic and he was then transferred to hospital in Kareedouw where he died from his injuries.
Officials said Links and a colleague were on duty at the time of the incident.
