A 27-year-old man is expected to appear in the Kwanobuhle Magistrates Court in Nelson Mandela Bay on Monday after a stolen lounge suite was found in his house.
Spokesperson Captain Gerda Swart says a truck delivering the furniture was hijacked by two men on Saturday.
She says the complainant and his assistant were busy with deliveries in Phuku street when they were approached by the suspects.
Captain Swart says one produced a firearm and demanded the keys of the truck, before driving off.
The complainant immediately notified the police who later found the Toyota pick-up truck abandoned in Majoka street.
Captain Swart says the furniture that was in the truck was however missing.
She says the team followed up on information that led them to the residence of a suspect where the brand new lounge suite worth R8 000 was recovered.
He will appear in court on a charge of possession of stolen property.
Swart says two suspects are still on the run.
