Suspect dumps bag full of SAPS clothing in rubbish bin

The flying squad and K9 unit in Nelson Mandela Bay arrested a 35-year-old man on Tuesday for having police clothing in his possession.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says members followed up on information about a person allegedly in possession of a police uniform in Leyland Street in North End.

She says members spotted the suspect dropping a black bag in a rubbish bin before walking away.

Inside the bag, members found police shirts, caps, insignias and pants.

He was arrested and will appear in court soon.
