Suspect caught hour after breaking into Bank in PE

Port Elizabeth police arrested a 23-year-old suspect who allegedly stole a computer from a bank in Govan Mbeki Avenue.

Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the K9 unit responded immediately and arrested the suspect within an hour.

She says police were alerted at 11 pm last night by the bank security, that they saw movement on their CCTV cameras.

The suspect was seen, on camera, smashing the front window, before snatching a computer monitor.

Naidu says when the suspect was arrested the monitor was found in his bleeding hands.
