A 32 year old Shauderville man was arrested at his house during an early morning raid by members of the intervention units deployed in Port Elizabeth's' gang-ridden Northern areas.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says police received an anonymous tip off and immediately reacted.
Rock cocaine, tik, tranquilisers and a substantial amount of cash was found in the Highfield Road house.
As part of Operation Lockdown five other suspects were arrested in the Gelvandale and Bethelsdorp areas.
They face several charges including dealing in drugs and the illegal possession stolen property, state property, firearms and drugs.
Among the items confiscated were a bullet proof vest, 7.65 mm pistol and 8 rounds of ammunition, 8 knives and an assortment of drugs.
