A man accused of murdering a Roman Catholic Church nun in the Eastern Cape has been arrested.
Police spokesperson, colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says the 27-year-old man was arrested in Sibangweni locality near Mthatha on Thursday.
Eighty-two-year old Mary Paule Tacke had been hijacked in Norwood in Mthatha on Sunday by two men who crashed her car during a police pursuit.
Tacke's body was found in a small stream in the veld at Nangeni on Monday.
Fatyela says the exact cause of her death is not yet known and a postmortem is underway.
He says police strongly suspect she was strangled.
Fatyela says the suspect will appear in the Mthatha magistrates court soon.
