Police in Storms River are offering a reward of up to R10 000 for information which may lead to the arrest and successful prosecution of the suspect involved in the murder of 70-year-old Corrie Claase.
Claase was found with stab wounds to his chest in the early hours of the morning on Saturday, 28 February, on his smallholding at Robbehoek in the Storms River area.
Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer, Gerda Swart, says the elderly couple was surprised by an intruder at around 5am that morning.
The wife ran to the neighbours for help, whilst her husband stayed behind in their bedroom.
When the wife returned she discovered her husband’s body.
Police are appealing to the public to assist them with any information that may lead to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).
