Storms River cop killed in accident

A policeman from Storms River was killed in a road accident.

Police spokesperson, Lieutenant Gerda Swart, said the off-duty officer was travelling on the R402 towards Kareedouw on Thursday and lost control over the vehicle.

The police members name has not yet been released.

Kareedouw police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
