A 66-year-old resident from an old age home in Gqeberha has now been missing for more than 10 days.
Bernadette January was last seen on the 9th of February, leaving the Louis Dubb Old Age Home in Kabega Park.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says it is suspected that January went to Summerstrand to look for her son who is living as a vagrant in the area.
She says their investigation revealed that January was dropped off at the Greenacres taxi rank by a resident from the old age home.
Colonel Naidu says they also managed to track down her son in the Forrest Hill area who indicated that he had not seen his mother.
She has not been seen or heard from since she was dropped off at the taxi rank.
Ms January is also a diabetic and does not have any medicine with her.
Anyone who may recognise her or may know of her whereabouts is asked to contact SAPS Kabega Park, D/Sgt Chimone Freeman on 041 3976801 or 082 302 6159.
