Steytlerville named regional winner in town of the year competition

Steytlerville in the Baviaans Municipality has been named as the Eastern Cape winner in the Kyknet / Kwela town of the year competition.
Steytlerville beat off contenders Burgersdorp and Somerset East for the regional title.
The overall national winner will be announced in August.
The mayor of the Baviaans Municipality, Ewald Loock, says Steytlerville this is good news for tourism in that area.
"It is very good news for tourism in our area, because the Baviaans Reserve is on the doorstep of Steytlerville and Willomore but our people can see that Steytlerville is a very clean town with nice guest houses and they can come and see a world heritage site. Good for tourism in Steytlerville" he said.
