The state has called for life imprisonment for two Cape Town men convicted of the murder of Jeffreys Bay businessman in 2010.
State prosecutor, Joel Sesar, said today that death of Gert Coetzer during the robbery at a cash loan business in May that year had been a senseless and careless killing.
He said both accused had, up until now, showed no remorse.
Nkonki's laywer said his client played a minimal role in Coetzer's death, while Nzwanga's lawyer appealed for a lenient sentence.
Judge Xoliswa Bacela found 43-year old Mthobeli Nkonki and 41-year old Thanduxolo Nzangwa guilty on charges of murder and attempted robbery with aggravating circumstances.
She'll pass sentence on Friday.
A third accused was acquitted while the man blamed for shooting Coetzer died of natural causes while awaiting trial.
