Several workers and security guards were held at gunpoint during an early morning robbery at business premises in Burman Road, Port Elizabeth.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says according to information received, the night shift staff members and security guards were tied up while suspects loaded an 8 ton truck with goods from the warehouse.
They even used a forklift to load goods which consists of various groceries.
The men then drove away with the truck where they offloaded the stock at an unknown location.
The empty truck was recovered on Tuesday morning in Motherwell.
Police were alerted after one of the victims managed to free himself.
Naidu says the value of the goods must still be determined.
Police are investigating a case of business robbery.
