Stabbing mystery as bleeding foreign national rescued at Happy Valley

File

Gqeberha police are investigating a case of assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm after a 32-year-old foreign national was found near Happy Valley with a stab wound to the neck on Wednesday.

Spokesperson, Colonel Pricilla Naidu says the man was in the company of friends, and while receiving medical attention, he attempted to run away and ran towards the sea but was subdued and taken to hospital.

She says he was treated and discharged on the same day.

Further investigations revealed that there was an earlier fight between the man and other foreign nationals in Havelock Street in Central and he allegedly stabbed about seven of them before fleeing with friends.

Colonel Naidu says the 32-year-old that was stabbed in the neck has since disappeared and cannot be traced.

Anyone who can assist in tracing this person is asked to contact, D/W/O Patrick Williams at SAPS Humewood on 082 457 4740 or 041 504 5019 or the nearest police station.
