The Kouga Municipality has called for reinforcements to assist in battling runaway fires that have destroyed at least four houses in St Francis Bay.
A runaway fire is burning among the houses at Harbour Road.
The Kouga Municipality has advised all residents and holiday-makers in the surrounding area, along St Francis Drive up to Assissi Drive, to evacuate as a matter of urgency.
St Francis Links is also reportedly making water available to the fight the fires.

A spokesperson for the Kouga Municipality Laura-Leigh Randall confirmed to Algoa FM News that four homes have already burnt down.
Residents in the area are also struggling with the internet due to the fire and strong winds.
