A house was extensively damaged by fire in St Francis Bay last night.
NSRI St Francis Bay station commander Marc Mey says his crew was asked by a local security firm to help extinguish a house fire on the beach front at Lovemore Crescent.
The kitchen, bedroom, laundry and one corner of the house were damaged in the blaze which was extinguished by 7pm.
May said the NSRI crew and bystanders were posted on roof tops of nearby homes to watch for falling embers and to extinguish them before they could affect other properties.
