Port Elizabeth police have arrested four people on stock theft charges after raiding a shebeen in Motherwell and finding the carcasses of several cows.
Police warrant officer Tembi Gwe, says slaughtered meat to the value of R200 000 was found at the tavern.
She says that in the past week, a total of 24 cows had been stolen from two farms in the Addo area.
