World Endurance Africa Holdings says it has been informed by Spec-Savers that the company has decided to withdraw their naming right sponsorship of the Spec-Savers IRONMAN in PE and the 70.3 in East London, following the completion of the 2013 events.
The decision is based on re-focussing their marketing.
The 70.3 took place in East London in January and the full Ironman is in PE in two week's time.
World Endurance Africa Holdings MD Keith Bowler says they'll actively pursue new naming rights sponsors in due course, but that its been a tremendous association with Spec Savers.
"In terms of both events we obviously will be engaging with various new title sponsors to assist us in taking the event forward and to reach greater heights than its reached before" he said.
