The sons of Jeffreys Bay councillor, Jaques Alexander, were shot and wounded outside a tavern in Pellsrus in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The shooting comes just two weeks after the DA's Alexander narrowly escaped with his own life.
He was shot seven times in front of the municipal offices on Da Gama Street in Jeffreys Bay.
Police spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu said that Alexander's sons, aged 19 and 24 years old, were outside a tavern when they were shot by an unknown suspect.
The shooting took place at 00:45.
According to Naidu, both brothers sustained a gunshot wound to their stomachs and were rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Meanwhile, the four men who have been charged with Alexander's attempted murder abandoned their bids for bail.

Determined to face the alleged gunmen who tried to kill him during their first appearance in court, Alexander showed up at the Humansdorp Magistrates Court with four bullets still lodged in his body.
He showed up at court immediately after being released from hospital.
The accused, Mthumzi Lani, Lutho Mbatha, Luciano Jacobs, and Athenkosi Gidane were charged with attempted murder and the hijacking of a motor vehicle.
They will appear in court again 19 April.
