Drugs worth an estimated street value of more than R5 million were found at a Shell garage in Voorbaai in Mossel Bay in the early hours of Friday morning.

Police spokesperson, Captain Wollie Fourie says five boxes, of which the content was initially unknown, were found at the garage by the internal investigator of Eldo Coaches, Danie Koch and his sniffer dog, Sticks.

Sticks indicated that there might be drugs inside the boxes and Koch then searched for the owner who he found inside the cafeteria.

He asked the suspect to open the boxes and found more than 100 000 mandrax tablets hidden in the boxes.

Police were called to the scene and the suspect was arrested.
