Skeletal remains found at house in Bluewater Bay, PE

Mystery surrounds the discovery of a body buried under concrete at a house in Bluewater Bay, Port Elizabeth.

Police spokesperson, Captain André Beetge, says the grisly find was made on Thursday by a worker who was demolishing a brick flower box to make way for a new carport.

He says investigators are trying to trace previous owners and tenants of the house in Bluewater Drive.

He says its estimated that the skeletal remains, which were wrapped in a blanket, are that of an adult while male whose age is unknown at this stage.

"A strong suspicion exists that the body might have been buried there as far back as 2008," Beetge says.

The deceased was clothed in a three quarter size khaki jacket and a pair of jean shorts.
