Sizani case postponed

The fraud and money-laundering trial of Non-thutu-zelo Sizani, wife of ANC chief whip Stone Sizani, has been postponed in the Commercial Crimes Court in Port Elizabeth to the 26th of January 2015.

That's because defence counsel, Johan Wessels, cannot find a clear two week period in his diary.

Meanwhile, a warrant of arrest has been issued for a witness Ntombekhaya Dinge.

Magistrate Mputumi Mpofu issued the warrant after Dinge failed to show up at court today where she was due to testify on behalf the state.

Sizani has been charged with 31 counts of fraud and money laundering involving more than R1.2 million.

She has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
