Police on Monday arrested a suspect in Port Shepstone in connection with the assassination of a 40-year-old Eastern Cape man.
The victim was gunned down at his homestead in Khwanyana location, near Port St Johns, on the 24th of May this year.
Police Spokesperson Captain Nozuko Handile says they have now arrested six suspects in connection with the murder.
Police arrested the other suspects in the Mthatha area.
The men between the ages of 38 and 72 will appear in court soon.
Police also confiscated a rifle, two pump guns and three pistols during the arrests.
The motive for the murder is unknown at this stage.
The suspects will be charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder and defeating the ends of justice.
