Eastern Cape police have arrested 6 suspects and recovered 2 firearms shortly after they robbed a spaza shop in Addo.
Spokesperson, WO Marianette Olivier says 7 men entered the shop at around 6 o'clock on Friday evening, and threatened the owner.
She says a shot was fired in the shop, and they took an undisclosed amount of money and cell phones before they fled.
Olivier says police managed to arrest 4 of the suspects in the bushes at around 9 o;clock, and confiscated one firearm.
She says at 2 o'clock Saturday morning, they arrested another 2 suspects with a firearm.
One suspect is still on the run, and police are investigating a case of Armed Robbery.
Meanwhile, two suspects were arrsted for possesion of dagga by the Uitenhage dog-unit during a crime prevention operation on Saturday.
A 53-year old man and a 38-year old woman will appear in court on Monday
