Single perlemoen leads to arrest

 A single shelled perlemoen and traces of abalone slime, has led to the seizure of a rubber-duck and diving equipment worth R400 000 in Port Elizabeth.

Members of the police's flying squad and officials from the department of agriculture, forestry and fisheries confiscated the vessel at Tiger Bay in Swartkops on Wednesday.

Two men, aged 43 and 37, were arrested, and will appear in court on Thursday.
