All emergency services in Buffalo City were put to the test on Thursday during a simulation exercise.
Police disaster management officer, John Fobian, says the simulation involved an overturned petrol tanker that had spilt its load.
He told Algoa Fm News that several minor issues had been identified and which had been dealt with in a debriefing sessions.
"We had a truck carrying petrol that overturned, the petrol was leaking and there were patients involved and all the emergency services responded to see that they are up and about for any accident or incident that may occur. Here and there we will have to look at some minor things" Fobian said.
