Port Elizabeth police are hunting for gunmen who robbed a Spar in Aspen in the city's Northern Areas late on Thursday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder, says six men entered the store shortly before 5 pm and held the manager, security guard and staff at gunpoint, before emptying the tills.
He says on the way out they fired several shots and also hijacked three cars, two of which were later found abandoned in Kwanoxolo.
Rheeder says no one was injured during the robbery and police are investigating cases of business robbery and vehicle hijacking.
