A woman allegedly raped by her former tennis coach Bob Hewitt, told the High Court in Johannesburg on Tuesday that she knew as many as nine girls by name who could testify that similar incidents had occurred between them and the 75 year-old Addo resident.
Suellen Sheehan testefied that Hewitt had raped her decades ago when she was just 12 years old.
The Australian-born Hewitt is facing two charges of rape and one of indecent assault. He has pleaded not guilty.
Sheehan was the second witness to testify in the case. On Monday, Theresa Tolken told the court how Hewitt sexually assaulted her 34 years ago, when she was also 12 years old.
A third alleged victim of Hewitt is still expected to testify.
Judge Bert Bam has postponed the case until Wednesday.
