Police in Port Elizabeth are investigating the murder of a man whose body was found dumped in the bushes along the old Uitenhage Road.
Spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says a shepherd who was herding his sheep through the open field made the gruesome discovery on Sunday.
The victim, who is an unknown African male, was partially burnt with his hands and feet bound.
Naidu says they believe that the man was also strangled.
She says the body was already in an advanced stage of decomposition.
Colonel Naidu says a post mortem will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
She urged the public to come forward with any information that can help them identify the deceased.
