The Buffalo City Municipality says liquor dealers should enforce the lockdown regulations and comply with Level 3 regulations.
This follows after yesterday’s visit to liquor outlets around the city by the Municipality officials and police where it was discovered that most of them aren’t ready to trade.
Municipality spokesperson Samkelo Ngwenya, says, unfortunately, enforcement and rules were not being followed.
He said liquor outlets should not have more than fifty people at a time in the store.
He said they also need to manage their queues better and make sure that customers are wearing face masks and practising social distancing.
