Butterworth Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit members have arrested a 35 year old Lesotho national for the rape of two young boys aged 8 and 9.
Police captain Jackson Manatha says the suspect was arrested at the weekend.
The boys were allegedly raped on separate occasions by the suspect who is employed as a shepherd at a farm near Zizamele Township, Butterworth.
The man is being held in custody and is due to appear in the Butterworth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday on two counts of rape.
