Eastern Cape police have arrested six suspects in connection with a variety of stock theft cases in the province, in which 100 sheep, eight cattle and a pig were stolen.
The suspects will appear in different courts tomorrow, including Port Elizabeth, East London, Kirkwood and Mthatha.
In one of the cases, 66 sheep from a subsistence farmer near Mthatha were stolen while he was away to attend a funeral.
The police investigation resulted in the cattle found on a site about 40 kilometres from there.
Eastern Cape Police Chief, Major General, Liziwe Ntshinga, commended d the various police units for their investigations that led to the arrests in various parts of the Eastern Cape.
