The Port Elizabeth are searching for an unknown suspect, following a fatal shooting on Old Uitenhage Road in Kleinskool on Thursday morning.
Police Spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder says a 59-year-old man was walking with his 4-year-old daughter to a shop when a man approached them.
He says a shot was fired, and the 59-year-old was hit in the head.
He died at the scene, and his daughter escaped unharmed.
Rheeder says the suspect then got into a taxi and got away.
The motive for the attack is unknown, and police are investigating a case of murder.
