Seven women behind bars for possesion of dagga.

Seven Eastern Cape women, aged between 25 and 42, have been arrested for being in possesion of dagga in the Libode.

Police spokesperson, Lt-Col Mzukisi Fatyela says police found 15 bags of dagga in their possession.

He says some of them were arrested on Saturday evening, and some in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Fatyela says the bags, weighing a total of 750kg, had a street value of about R750,000.

They are expected to appear in Court on Monday.
