Seven arrested in Knysna for stealing furniture out of fire-damaged house

Knysna police have arrested seven people found in possession of furniture stolen from a fire-damaged house in Brenton-On-Sea.

Captain Pojie says the suspects, aged between 40 and 68, face charges of housebreaking and the possession of stolen property worth about R80 000.

They will appear in court soon.

He says Knysna police also reinforced deployment to the fire-affected areas to assist help search for possible missing people.

Pojie says rescue dogs will also be deployed in these areas.
