Port Elizabeth police are monitoring a service delivery protest in Sea View.
Spokesperson, Captain Johan Rheeder says a group of about 30 residents were burning branches and tyres on Wednesday morning, but was extinguished by the PE fire brigade, who's also at the scene.
He says the protesters are unhappy with municipal services and housing.
Rheeder says all roads leading to Sea View are open, but motorists should exercise caution.
No arrests have been made.
A group of 25 protesters from Khayamnandi took to the street in Despatch on Tuesday to voice their unhappiness about crime in the area and the inaccessibility of their Ward 52 councillor.
The march was organised by the ANC's Womens League.
